Hey guys... it's been some time since I've uploaded a scene from my novel, so I decided to make one involving The King of the Zandereens, Preses the Second. The sketch for this piece is this:
Preses the Second
- Preses the Second is the last uncorrupted king of the zandereen people. - He is a relentless leader, very dedicated to his people and their safety. He gives orders that the Golden Realm be bordered by the Water Walls to prevent the March of the Ghenads advancing into the city. - He is also Rithnu's (one of the 10 Zandereens of Power) elder brother. - This scene is taken from the part in the novel which involves the counsel meeting held to discuss the fate of the Only Chant of Ruin. Here he is challenged stubbornly by one of the rebelled Zandereens of Power, Alurhea, who believes that the Chant should stay in the possession of the zandereens, so that they, and not the irthala, may utter it and end the March. Preses oposes her stating clearly that there is not zandereen alive that can speak the chant, so he says that the twins should continue their journey to Omnar with the Chant so that it may reach rightful hands. - Unfortunately, Preses is killed by the ghenad army after they invade the Golden Realm and Rithnu is left to grieve the loss of her only brother.
About the picture
I've spent about 4 days painting this deviation and I believe it turned out quite nice. The configuration of the body is intended, in the sense that zandereens truly have thin waists and small brain cavities as opposed to humans. Oh and if you think they are fairies, shock horror they are not! They are wasp-like humanoids and proof of that is their eyes and thin waists. The color scheme is contrasting red-green (lime green) because firstly the red robe that he wears is a sign of his royal status and green is his natural zandereen color.
Hope you like it and oh! If you're interested to see other works with zandereens here you go: and They are the only ones that I still have in my sketch account.
Well considering I play WoW I'll take that neither as a compliment, nor as an insult but more as a statement. I'd like to know what made you say that...
No... Except for hands... My twin sister poses for me if i get in a puddle >.> That's why i have this hand study compilation (taken from Avon Catalogues ^_^) [link]
Believe it or not, those are my sketches!
