Evedir Amrath is the second youngest of the Amrath Brothers, older than Elril by 10 years only. He is a kind and gentle person, with a lot of temperance, yet little tolerance for lies. He is regarded as the most calm and understanding of the Brothers and is especially fond of his elder brother, Cefros, which always seems to mild in Evedir's presence. Ever since he was young he has been attached to Elril, often played with him and their mother, Forlien the Old, yet after she died, he has become envious of his younger brother because of his closeness to Conorias, their great grandfather. He and Elril had become to be seen as unworthy and most of the time they were the target for Aneeril, their father's rage. Slowly throughout the years Evedir has proved more mature than even his elder brothers and has since recently held two stances: 1. adviser to both his father, the king and to the High Believers of Diferion 2. Warcaller or Hornblower in times of war. Usually it is the task of a Royal to rally troops and sound battle and he has agreed to take on this task
The Gaidara is a weave-bound (magical) creature that is a dweller of forests and light mountain ranges. The Irthala have been breeding them ever since Conorias came to the throne of Diferion and they prove useful both through themselves and through their young. They are the ones that revitalized song in the hearts of the burdened Irthala. Gaidara are especially respected through their ability to memorize events and recall them when asked. This trait is passed down to their young, the Aeysas. Evedir is the official breeder and keeper of these great birds, though he is not very fond of this title. He takes care of them with love, yet sometimes he wishes there was more to him than just the title of keeper.
About the Illustration
You wouldn't believe how many sketches I made for this deviation. 5 Sketches.... 5!!!! Because each and every single one was so bloody difficult to do. Evedir is a hard character to draw, I kid you not. I started the picture about 2 months ago, but the interest for it died out. But the juices flowed again And I managed to finish it
The rest from the Series:
TOO MUCH BLUE!!!!
But eh, I work better with blue ^________^ I hope you like it Gents, Cheers!!!
Thank you The bird is not a pheonix. It's a goose-like creature, a gaidara. It doesn't reborn from its ashes, it has nothing to do with the element of fire. It's more of a pshichic being, with the capacity to memorize events
I feel that way about other people too like ~Angevere or *Tonywash or *scourge-minion It's a sense people should experiment more often. People these days are so one-minded: "It doesn't matter what you do, or how good it is! I don't know you why should I care!" I care for a lot of people I don't know ^_^ It's a fatal design flaw, but I'm happy with it.
I have advancing my skills in coloring for some time now and when I look back a year and a half ago, I might say I hardly believe those scrawny drawings were made by me. Thank you very much
Your light studies are getting more varied. Aside from your other three pictures, the light on this one is a bit more muted and gives this kind of cold feeling. And the pallette is blue, so it even strenghtens that feeling By that you can really say that he is the most calm person (like an iceberg I guess ) Congratulations with another great piece
Cloak? You mean tunic don't you? And yes I've put more work in the rest of the embroidered clothes I made. Those were just silver strips I am glad you like it ^_____^ That horn actually was really easy to do. What killed me was the etheral(I don't like how ethereal sounds- Etheral sounds better, like ephemeral) >.>
I am glad you like it... I am thinking of diversifying the clothing of his brothers in the future because that's what comes after this.
The next colors coming up are .... Red, green, orange and lila. The thing is it's hard to find some good pattens for male clothing. Female clothing I can manage, because technically I'm a girl, but the male cloths are the one that bother me a bit. I really need to come up with more diversified filigree designs >.>
Well i think you have done a very nice job. But i do see what you mean, mens clothing -and really good looking clothing- is such a pain. You dont want to make it look feminine because well, your a girl but at the same time you want it to look noble and daring.
